Boyd joined the organization in 2006, following ten years with a Big Four accounting firm in Kansas City.
Boyd is the Chief Risk Officer with primary responsibilities including: compliance monitoring, risk management, and firm administration. This includes reporting to external or regulatory bodies (e.g. AICPA and PCAOB), serving as the firm liaison for external quality reviews (e.g. Peer Review, PCAOB, DOL, CPAB, International Network), developing firm policies and processes and monitoring compliance with firm policies and professional standards.
Boyd is also the technical leader in the Kansas City office, where he focuses on complex and/or specialized issues, develops and maintains productive relationships with clients, and develops an audit strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately addresses risk. Boyd is also responsible for reviews, compilations, SEC reporting, due diligence and transaction analysis. Boyd is an Executive Committee member with MHM.
