Tony Hakes, based in the Phoenix, AZ office, is a member of the Board of Directors, the local Attest Practice Leader and leads MHM's National Construction Industry Practice Group. Tony has served a variety of construction contractors including general contractors, heavy highway and paving contractors, specialty contractors, and home builders as well as real estate developers and architectural firms. He has provided consultation to clients on various accounting and reporting issues including revenue recognition, joint ventures, variable interest entities, interest capitalization, indirect cost allocation and evaluation of change orders and claims.
Tony is a member of the AICPA's Revenue Recognition Working Group and has also attained the designation as a Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP).
