Industry indicators suggest that the construction sector is poised for a strong start to 2019. Sales expectations and staffing level intentions are higher compared to the same period in 2018. The Construction Backlog indicator is down slightly from one year earlier and changes in nonresidential spending are up over the previous month as well as year-over-year.
