Profit margin expectations were about the same in December 2018 as they were in December 2017. The Construction Backlog Indicator was down slightly, as were staffing level and sales expectations. The partial federal government shutdown disrupted some commonly used construction benchmarks, including housing permits, and starts, but that information is expected to be available again by early March.
