Steve Nicokiris

Steve serves as an audit MHM shareholder for numerous clients where he provides "hands on" practical business advisory, consulting, auditing and accounting services to middle-market, privately-held and family-owned companies. A true client advocate, Steven helps his clients with a wide range of business needs including: advising on effective business and tax planning strategies; making meaningful introductions to enhance business and profitability; and efficiently planning, managing and supervising audit engagements and other special projects.

Steven also takes a leadership role in the overall growth of the New York office, as well as the firm nationally, by spearheading business development opportunities along with enhancing the business development skills of the firm’s staff. He has been the trainer for the firm's Tomorrow’s Rainmakers Program in the New York office since inception.

Steven shares his thought leadership expertise as a lecturer at various professional organizations and financial institutions on topics related to financial statement analysis, fraud prevention, ESOPs and the power of benchmark statistics. In addition, he frequently lectures as a guest speaker at various colleges and universities on various topics including business writing, interviewing/job seeking tips and techniques and the benefits of working in a middle-market accounting firm.
