Based in our San Diego office, James is MHM's National Director of Professional Standards. James has expertise in all aspects of revenue recognition, business combinations, derivatives embedded, earnings per share, fair value level 3 measurements, financial instruments, stock compensation, derivatives hedging, integrated audits, internal control deficiency evaluation, impairment of goodwill and other intangible assets, accounting for stock-based compensation, accounting for equity and debt instruments and other accounting issues.
Additionally, he has significant experience with a variety of other regulatory and corporate governance issues pertaining to publicly traded companies, including all aspects of internal control.
In addition, James frequently speaks on accounting and auditing matters at various events for MHM and is actively involved in our national training programs for all levels of staff. He also is a frequent external speaker and regular contributor to the firm's publications. James is also an Executive Committee member with MHM.
