Murrell, Hall McIntosh, & Co., PLLP Announces Promotions

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Murrell, Hall McIntosh, & Co., PLLP (MHM), one of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area’s largest accounting firms, is pleased to announce promotions of several key accounting professionals.

Recognizing their superior work and leadership, MHM promotes Vanessa Mushrim, CPA to audit partner; Greg Jones, CPA, Keith Osborn, CPA and Steve Troutman, CPA to senior tax manager; Jennifer Carpenter, CPA and Kelley Grace, CPA to tax manager; Tricia Bennett and Clay Wilber, CPA to tax supervisor; Zack Pan, CPA and Amber Tyler, CPA to audit supervisor; Megan Stewart to audit senior; and Travis Lowry, CPA to tax senior. These individuals, with the help of their fellow employees, have devoted their energy and efforts to continually provide quality work for MHM's clients.  

Mushrim joined MHM in May 2007. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting from the University of Oklahoma and began her career at KPMG LLP in Oklahoma City. Mushrim has over 9 years of experience that includes both privately held and publicly traded companies.  She has also worked with some of the state’s largest Indian nations and universities.

Jones joined MHM in November 2003. Jones provides tax planning and prepares and reviews federal and state tax returns. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst, and he serves on the Business Valuation/Litigation Support Committee of the OSCPA.

Osborn began working for MHM in October 1998. Osborn prepares and reviews income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, non-profits and trusts. He is a Norman Rotary Club member.

Troutman joined MHM in June 2005. He prepares and reviews tax returns and also provides tax planning services for individuals and businesses. Troutman has experience in a variety of industries.

Newly appointed as tax manager, Carpenter prepares and reviews tax returns and provides tax planning services for individuals and businesses. Carpenter is a QuickBooks Certified Pro-Advisor, and she currently serves on several church committees in her hometown of Shawnee. She has been with MHM since June 1998.

Grace started her career at MHM in November 2001. Currently, Grace is working with several automobile dealerships and construction groups, along with many other tax clients. She serves as the board treasurer for Meals on Wheels, Inc. and the Cleveland County YMCA. Grace is also president of the Exchange Club of Norman and a committee member of the Norman Chamber of Commerce. She was listed on the 2007 "Forty Under 40" list.

Bennett began working for MHM in 1997. She prepares and reviews individual and business income tax returns, as well as the preparation of financial statements and payroll for clients. Bennett is a QuickBooks Certified Pro-Advisor. She is treasurer on the board for The Purcell Parent Committee for the pre-K program.

Wilber began his career at MHM in November 2002. He provides assistance with income tax returns, payroll documents and client advisory services. He is the chair of the OSCPA New Members Committee, serves on the OSCPA CPE Committee, the OSCPA Board of Directors, and Kiwanis Board of Directors.  Wilber teaches financial education classes at the University of Oklahoma’s FED, is a member of the AICPA CPA Ambassador program, and is vice president for the OU Sooner Theatre Board of Directors. He was named Forty Under 40 by OKC Business for 2007 and a graduate of Leadership Norman Class of 2007. 

Pan recently received his CPA certification. His job focuses on auditing financial statements of public companies. Prior to joining MHM in September 2005, Pan was an economist with Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, a project officer with Asian Development Bank loan office in China, a translator and interpreter of China Anhui Provincial Government and an associate professor of Anhui University in China.

Tyler joined MHM in January 2005. After passing the CPA exam, she was honored with the Silver Medal Award for having the highest score in her testing period. Tyler has three years of private and public audit experience in a variety of industries.

Stewart has been with MHM since February 2006. She has experience in audit and review, evaluation of internal control and design, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and SEC reporting.

Lowry recently earned his CPA certification. He has worked for MHM since January 2006. He prepares individual and entity income tax returns and assists accounting services with bookkeeping projects. He is secretary/treasurer for the Norman Chapter of the OSCPA.
