Federal Uniform Grant Guidance Services
MHM has extensive experience in conducting organization-wide Single Audits in accordance with the Federal Uniform Grant Guidance (formerly OMB Circular A-133).
The extensive experience we have working with Federal agencies including the Department of Education, Department of Health and Human Services, National Science Foundation, USAID, Department of Housing and Urban Development, among many others has given us the expertise needed to perform the services your organization requires. Our goal is to help our clients that are administering federal awards subject to the Federal Uniform Grant Guidance achieve a high degree of fiduciary responsibility. As funding may come from several sources, organizations' financial statements must provide adequate disclosures and reporting and accurately reflect how monies from grants and contracts are being used.
Our team of dedicated Federal Uniform Grant Guidance specialists is well-trained through a combination of internal and external programs, such as annual conferences sponsored by the United States Department of Education, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO). We invest in staying current in the ever-changing environment so that as regulations change or are introduced, MHM's professionals can provide your organization with the top quality service you deserve.
Our nonprofit and education specialists exude passion about serving nonprofit and educational organizations. They have purposefully chosen a career path serving exempt organizations. Their mission — to gain a full understanding of their clients' goals and provide recommendations based on the long-term objectives of the board of directors, audit committee and management team.
Together MHM and CBIZ are one of the top accounting providers in the nation with offices in most major metropolitan areas. We have a robust national not-for-profit and education practice and currently serve more than 900 nonprofit and educational organizations nationwide.
Over the years, we have refined our formula for client service. We combine our strong not-for-profit and education expertise, proactive guidance and communication and high level of partner involvement. This is coupled with team stability, first-rate responsiveness and access to extensive national resources. The result: A caring firm with a sound understanding of the nonprofit and education sector that brings quality and value to each client engagement.
